The outgoing Commissioner of Police, CP, Anambra State Police Command, Aderemi Adeoye has on Sunday been conferred with a Chieftancy title in Anambra State.
At the pomp and pageantry event that attracted the Who is Who across the country, the CP and his wife, Bolanle, were confered as the Dike-Ochioha 1, and Lolo Adaejiejemba of Awuka Village, Ogbunka Kingdom, Anambra State by HRH Igwe Dr. Sir Amb. J.M. Anyaoha (KSM, JP).
This gesture, according to the traditional ruler, is a recognition of the retired CP’s immense contribution to the growth, peace, prosperity of his kingdom and the state in general.
CP Adeoye, while thanking the Igwe and the good people of Awuka Village, Ogbunka, Orumba South Local Government Area, promised to continue to support the community and the state in ensuring that his legacy of peace and tranquillity is upheld.
CP Aderemi Adeoye was pulled out of the Force on Saturday in Akwa, at a grand event to mark his retirement, after spending 35 meritorious years in the Nigeria Police Force.
