The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), FCT Chapter, is deeply saddened by the news of the passing of the First Lady of Akwa Ibom State, Mrs. Patience Umo Eno.
This is according to a press release jointly signed by the FCT NAWOJ Chairperson, Comrade Bassey Ita Ikpang, and the Secretary, Comrade Nkiruka Okeke.
“We extend our sincere condolences to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, and the entire family during this heartbreaking moment.
“Mrs. Patience Umo Eno will always be remembered as a woman of faith, a dedicated social advocate, and a tireless champion for the welfare of others. Her commitment to improving the lives of the less privileged and her many charitable initiatives have left an indelible mark on the people of Akwa Ibom State.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the Governor, his family, The NUJ family and NAWOJians in Akwaibom state , the Press Secretary our very own Uduak Ekong and the people of Akwa Ibom State. We pray that God grants you all the strength and comfort in this time of grief.
“May her soul rest in perfect peace. Amen”, the statement read.
