The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), has expressed sadness on the passing away of former Federal Capital Territory, FCT NAWOJ Chairperson, Stella Okoh Esene.
The sad event took place on Monday at the National Hospital, Abuja, after a brief illness.
According to a press statement jointly signed by the NAWOJ National Chairperson, Aisha Ibrahim, and Wasilah Ladan
National Secretary, Okoh-Esene was a dedicated and committed journalist.
“It is with profound sadness that the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) announces the passing of our beloved member and former Chairperson, FCT Chapter, Stella Okoh Esene.
Stella, a dedicated and committed journalist, worked with True Verdict News, leaving an indelible mark on the industry. Her passion for journalism and unwavering commitment to excellence inspired many.
We extend our deepest condolences to her family, particularly her daughter and loved ones. May her soul rest in peace, and may her legacy continue to inspire us.
Stella’s contributions to NAWOJ and the journalism fraternity will be greatly missed. We pray that her memory will motivate us to uphold the values of dedication, hard work, and professionalism she embodied. May her soul find eternal rest”, the statement read.
